Current Products/Solutions
Ecovita’s introduction of five companies’ types of urine-diverting toilets to North America has led to ongoing installations and improvements. With Ecotech and Ecos, Ecovita introduced the Eco-Flush to North America in 1997.
Eco-Flush and Eco-Dry urine-diverting toilets
Eco-Flush is an attractive two-drain toilet that keeps urine separate from solids. Ecovita started importing these in 1997 with Ecos along with the manufacturer’s flush-free model.
Flush with a little (or not at all) for urine or flush a little more for solids. The Wostman Eco-Flush has been installed as an advanced conserving toilet, but mostly as a urine separation option where urine is diverted for onsite planting, composting or pumped off site and used on farms (still rare).
Recently, NASA purchased them for the forthcoming third generation of its Mars Simulation project
New urine-diverting toilets come and go on the market, but this is still the most reliable and usable toilet on offer.
Eco-Dry is chosen by composting toilet owners as an attractive toilet stool to keep liquids separate from the composting process.
